  • Weekend workshop for parents for teens with ADHD, March 2006 cancelled because of low enrollment
  • Camp for ADHD Coaches—Summer 2007—cancelled due to low interest—lost facility deposit of $2000.

Public Relations

  • Had Joan and Jill (weekly office volunteer) contact websites that link to ADDA or CHADD, asking them to link to us.
  • Held focus groups in Tacoma and Seattle to develop leads for new board members
  • Sent out repeated emails reminding people of our events; also PSAs sent to radio and newspapers on various events.
  • Mailed 7000 postcards for Dr. Amen's April, 2007 events; emailed over 3000 people and faxed over 300 agencies
  • Distributed 500 Spring event brochures along with ADDR brochures at Children Justice Conference, March 2007

Finances

  • Obtained $5000 educational grants from Eli Lily for both fall 2006 and spring 2007 conferences.
  • Switched budget year from January - December to July - June.
  • Began receiving $24,000 (in quarterly payments of about $6000) from trust created for Attention Deficit Disorder Resources by anonymous donors
  • We currently have 40 Professional Member; 168 Members with a listing in the Directory and 512 regular members for a total of 720 members.

So far, through March 30, 2007 we have a loss of $20,000 with little capacity for recovery. Anticipated loss through June 2007 is $30,000. Loss occurred because of lower than expected attendance at conference and teachers workshop, reduced pricing for conference in hopes of increasing attendance, cancelled workshop with Dr. Mate and loss of deposit on facility for Coaching Camp, also lower than expected attendance at Dr. Amen's events in April.

Board seriously needs to consider future activities of Attention Deficit Disorder Resources and sources of funding.
