Headlining this 2-day event are two outstanding national authorities who have important knowledge on AD/HD and its impact on people's lives. In addition, we are excited to bring together 27 top local physicians, psychologists, therapists, coaches, professional organizers and other ADHD specialists who have volunteered to share their extensive AD/HD knowledge in our afternoon breakout sessions. While the ADHD professionals attend the advanced seminars in the afternoon, everyone else has the choice to attend over 30 breakout sessions. We have something for adults with ADHD, their partners and families and for the professionals who help them. Download a conference flier to give to colleagues, family and friends. Major Presenters

Bill Dodson, M.D.

Saturday Morning: Beyond Medicine: Where Do We Go From Here?
(open to everyone)

Just about everyone knows that there has got to be more to the management of ADHD than medication. Pills don't give skills." Studies of non-medication based therapies, however, have found little lasting benefits from the cognitive and behavioral methods that have been tried thus far. This presentation will explain what was missed in previous therapies and what might work in the therapies currently in development.

Saturday Afternoon: Advanced Seminar: Update on Medication Management
(for AD/HD professionals only)

Part of the afternoon seminar will be an update on medication, useful information for both the prescribing and non-prescribing ADHD clinicians. The other content will depend on the interests of those attending the seminar.

Learn about William Dodson, M.D. and read an article he wrote for our newsletter.

Gabor Maté, M.D.

Sunday Morning: Beyond the Medical Model: Living Triumphantly with ADD
(open to everyone)

If we see ADD not as a disease but as a problem of incomplete development in child or adult, we can create conditions that will help promote development in ourselves or others. Beyond symptom control, participants will learn how to support their own development so that ADD need not be a crippling constraint on their personal and professional lives.

Sunday Afternoon: Advanced Seminar: Beyond Pharmacolgoy: Supporting the ADD Adult With and Without Medications (for AD/HD professionals only)

In this professional seminar we will explore in greater detail the subjects discussed in the morning session, along with the three other objectives listed just above. Participants will learn how to support ADD adults through a compassionate understanding of ADD symptoms and behaviors.

Learn more about Dr. Gabor Maté and read an article he wrote for our newsletter.

Some people think this is fun.
