AD/HD and Your Relationship with Your Significant Other: Make Some Changes Now!
Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I will remember. Involve me and I will understand. ~~~ ConfuciusYou have learned about your ADHD and you and your partner have already benefitted from this new knowledge. But some pieces in your relationship are still not falling into place. What to do? Where to go next?
We have an answer. Five couples are invited to participate in a 4 session (90 minutes each) teleclass where they will obtain new insights and learn new relationship skills.
All information exchanged in this teleclass will remain confidential. A special Release of Information signed by you, or expressed verbal permission are the only ways information may be released to any other party. The law allows the release of confidential information (without consent) in only three situations: Suspected child abuse, potential suicide, or threatened harm to another person. Your trust is important to Don. Know that the call will be a safe place for you to share information and for you to be yourself.
Teleclasses are like participating in a conference call where everyone calls into the same number, paying their own long distance charges.
These teleclasses will be offered again on January 4/11/18/25 at 4:30 pm PST (5:30 pm MST. 6:30 pm CST and 7:30 pm EST) Registration is open now.
Here is what Don has to say about the teleclass:
Over the years, I've put on a variety of groups for AD/HD Adults in my practice. And, over time, I've noticed that there isn't support for those living in AD/HD relationships.
As a result, I started a couples group where one or both of the partners live with AD/HD. Groups have been well attended and often, once a group gets established, participants will stay with the group for years. Why?
My experience, personally and professionally, is that connecting with others with experiences similar to yours can be a relief and often normalizing. You get an opportunity to see first hand others living a very similar experience. Group members experience just that. A place they can come and be understood. And, a lot of the understanding goes unspoken.
This 4–session teleclass is your opportunity to connect with other couples where one or both live with the AD/HD diagnosis. This is a place where you can come to:
- learn more about your relationship
- get connected
- feel supported
- walk away with practical strategies

Here Are What Some of Don's Clients Have to Say
Frank and I greatly benefited from your Couples Group. It guided us towards working together, to help each other. As the non-ADD spouse, it helped me to hear and understand the challenges of both the ADD person and the non-ADD partner. As the non-ADD partner, I truly felt that the others in the group listened to me. This group does not just help the ADD person.~~~Anne/ Seattle, WA
We've always known what we’re supposed to do. The group helped us most by keeping us consistent and accountable to each other and our relationship, especially me. I was diagnosed with AD/HD 15 years into our marriage. We’ve been group members for close to 2 years.~~~Doug/ Bellevue, WA
