Pioneered in 1939, the CSS Pension Plan is one of the oldest and largest defined contribution (DC) pension plans in Canada with over $4B in assets. Today we’ve grown to serve 319 employers and over 49,000 current and past co-operative and credit union employees across Canada.

As an employment pension plan, we work closely with our employer members to administer CSS Pension Plan benefits to participating employees. myCSSPEN makes it easy to remit your employees’ contribution information quickly and securely.

For members who wish to convert their accumulated retirement savings into a regular monthly income, the Plan offers a fixed monthly pension. These monthly pensions are paid from our Pensions Fund, which is invested in high-quality, long-term bonds.

Jul 05, 2019 · All CSS Pension Plan members are already assigned a Member ID. You can find your Member ID number on the first page of your annual statement. You can also find it by logging into your myCSSPEN account. If you just joined the Plan and do not have an annual statement yet, your Member ID will be mailed to you.

Investment funds The CSS Pension Plan offers four investment funds - the Balanced Fund, Money Market Fund, Equity Fund and Bond Fund. Using any or all of the four funds, you have the option to set an investment mix appropriate to your own goals and circumstances, and according to your own risk tolerance and investment comfort.
