You can enjoy unlimited rides on all CTA buses and trains with our 1-Day, 3-day, 7-day or 30-day unlimited-ride passes. Your pass activates the first time you use it and is good for the full length of time from that moment.

The app lets you manage your Ventra account, add transit value or passes on your Ventra Card and buy and use Metra mobile tickets. Also, get notifications for account balance and upcoming expirations of passes or tickets.

Ventra is the name of our fare system. You can buy Ventra Cards to store passes and fare value or disposable Ventra Tickets to ride CTA and Pace buses.

Any pass can be loaded into a Ventra Card's transit account. You can even load multiple passes, so you have a new one ready to go when one you're using runs out. Some passes (such as a 1-Day CTA Pass) are sold at Ventra Vending Machines in the form of disposable Ventra tickets.

This form lets you check balance on any Ventra Card. If you’ve registered your card, you can avoid entering all this info by simply logging in to see your balance. (Or better yet, just get the Ventra app where you can see your balance in an instant!)
