Great Strides™ pits teams of four to six against the clock on a 65km or 40km walking or running challenge in some of the UK’s most breath-taking countryside. Take part with family and friends, colleagues at work, or even run an ultra-race alone: choose your challenge and help us fight for a life unlimited by cystic fibrosis with a unique fundraising adventure.

This fun and exciting event will help raise funds to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation forward their mission to find a cure for all people with cystic fibrosis. Great Strides is Back for 2019! Great Strides is a series of fun run/walks which raise much needed proceeds and awareness for those living with Cystic Fibrosis. The 2019 Series will have two amazing events in Strathalbyn 27 October and Largs Bay 24 November, featuring food, activities and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

For 30 years, Great Strides - the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest national fundraising event - has supported the Foundation's mission to cure cystic fibrosis and raise awareness for this rare, genetic, life-shortening disease that makes it difficult to breathe and shortens lives.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity dedicated to fighting for a life unlimited by cystic fibrosis for everyone living with the condition. We are investing in cutting-edge research, supporting clinical care, and campaigning tirelessly on the issues that matter, but we need your help. Together we will beat cystic fibrosis for good.
