D-Link ADSL routers and modems have a factory default IP-address of 192.168.1.1 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0 To access your ADSL router or modem, connect your computer to the router and then open up your web browser(e.g. Internet Explorer) and type in the default IP-address.

Type the web address to get to the login arrangement page of the d-link router the user can either accessing the default IP address to get to the login page.   The sign-in page of the d-link router will show up on the screen. Here you will see the most recent form of the d-link router.

Note: This FAQ uses the DIR-655 as an example, however the process is the same for all D-Link routers. Step 1: Open your web browser and type in the IP address of the router ( 192.168.0.1 by default). Step 2: Enter the username ( admin) and password ( blank by default), and then click OK or Log In.

The default username and password is: Username: admin. Password: admin. If this doesn't work then it most likely means that the password has been changed. In that case you should enter your own password but leave the username as admin. And if you can't remember your password you may reset the modem/router back to factory default settings.
