Debian Localhost Login

I downloaded debian-live-8.1.0-amd64-standard.iso When I try to enter in live mode. Debian ask me for a login and password. I try with root/toor but it dont work. Anyone knows whats happend?

A: User or root login information. Unless you specified a host name for your computer, or get that information from a network, your Linux install will call your machine localhost.localdomain by default. When you get to that initial prompt, it is asking you to log in to your system.

This is where i stand. i just recentally installed ubuntu from a disk. the install went fine. went i went to reboot my computer it shows the ubuntu wallpaper, then goes to a black screen saying "localhost login". i dont think i put a password on my user when i installed.

May 25, 2012 · Login means just that. You can login to root or to a user name when using Ctrl+Alt+F1. It shuts down X and is a different run level than the normal console. You can't login to localhost. Ctrl+Alt+F7 will take you back to your desktop. I use Ctrl+Alt+F1 everyday to get out of X and run scripts.
