Dell Openmanage Default Login

Hey Guys, I have 3 Servers that are Dell PowerEdge SC1435, PE2950 and a PE2850. I installed OMSA on all 3. It says if I have a password on the Admin Account it will let me login, However that is not the case I put in the host name, then username Administrator and the password and it erros out saying bad login credentials.

Find the default login, username, password, and ip address for your Dell OpenManage Server Console router. You will need to know then when you get a new router, or when you reset your router.

Dell Openmanage Server Administrator just uses operating system authentication. So, whatever login you use to log into your operating system should allow you to log into Dell Openmanage Server Administrator as well. When logging into Server Administrator, make sure you select the correct domain.

After freshly installed OpenManage Server Administrator from the CD that comes with my new server, Dell PowerEdge T110, I still could not figure out how to login successfully to the application. The server is running Windows 2008 SR2 Foundation and serves as a domain controller. I access its web interface locally using Firefox 3.6.

I have found the hard way that when installing OpenManage, "always" choose custom. From there you can set the password. If you do not choose custom, the default password may be calvin and it may not. If you install OpenManage with the express option and cannot get in using calvin, your looking at a reinstallation. Thanks Dell
