Desktop Authority Slow Login

Jun 24, 2014 · I was wondering if anyone using desktop authority had any ideas for keeping desktop authority running smoothly. Over the years, desktop authority seems to be running slower and slower. We are to the point now where it can take 1-2 minutes for desktop authority to run completely. As you can guess, this is very inconvenient for the users.

The delay you are seeing is because of a Windows timeout when trying to access UNC path. Explorer will sometimes hang and become slow when trying to access a path that no longer exists. Oct 21, 2019 · I have the same issue when I try a connection from my Laptop Win 10 1903 to my Desktop Win10 1903. I have changed the default port for RDP though. First time the connection goes well. If I try to disconnect and start a RDP session a second time from the Laptop, trying to connect to my Desktop, the Desktop simply freezes with the lock screen image.
