Ehr Meaningful Use Attestation Login

MFA is a security system that requires more than one method of authentication from independent categories of credentials to verify the user's identity for a login or other transaction. As part of this implementation for the CMS Promoting Interoperability Programs Registration System, users will have to set up MFA in the I&A System.

In 2018, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) transitioned to the QualityNet System for hospitals that attest to CMS for the Medicare Promoting Interoperability Program. Medicaid Promoting Interoperability Program participants will continue to submit their meaningful use attestation to their respective State Medicaid agencies.

Promoting Interoperability Programs Milestones. In 2011, CMS established the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs (now known as the Promoting Interoperability Programs) to encourage eligible professionals (EPs), eligible hospitals, and CAHs to adopt, implement, upgrade (AIU), and demonstrate meaningful use of CEHRT.
