EPGY students have full and busy daily schedules. The typical weekday routine for EPGY begins with breakfast in a Stanford dining hall, followed by morning classes. The courses are taught in Stanford classrooms or in EPGY computer labs, and are followed by lunch.

Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes is a three-week summer residential program held on Stanford campus that provides academically talented and intellectually curious students currently in grades 8–11 with intensive study in a single course.

Legacy SCS schools are required to complete the Stanford EPGY Fall Mathematics Screen during the assessment window of September 5, 2013 through September 12, 2013. For each grade level K-5, the Stanford EPGY Fall Mathematics Screen is composed of 10 carefully selected exercises drawn from the Stanford Math Pre Algebra Program.
