I live in NYC and it says that my account was logged into by a device in Herndon, VA. The time and device type are, however, the same as for me. Is this FB routing me through VA or is someone hijacking my account (and possibly all my internet interactions)?

Aug 11, 2013 · If it does not show you logged in CURRENTLY from those locations, then any time you may have accessed FB from a phone or 3G Tablet might have created those entries. (I say 3G tablet, because they use the cell network to log in, whereas a wifi tablet would only show up at your current location and IP address.)

Facebook is saying I'm logged in from a whole other city, what is this? I run a business, and use facebook as a way to connect with my customers. I had some problems with my bank account earlier this week, and decided to check my other places where someone could have fiddled with my information.

If, on the other hand, you detect devices in that list that you don’t know then it would be highly advisable to remove them. To do this, click on Recognized Devices to expand the list and then click on Remove next to any device you wish to get rid of. Also of note here is the Active Sessions entry. This shows you all of the devices that are currently logged into your Facebook account.
