The FasTrak Flex toll tag has a three-position switch to signal whether you are traveling alone or as a carpool. The FasTrak Flex toll tag works at all toll bridges and in all Bay Area express lanes, and it also can be used to pay for parking at San Francisco International Airport.

FasTrak ® Flex transponders will be portable and can be moved from one vehicle to another. Drivers that already have a standard (non-switchable) FasTrak ® Flex can only use the Metro ExpressLanes as a toll paying customer. Drivers that want the option to travel toll-free on the Metro ExpressLanes must upgrade to the switchable FasTrak.

FasTrak Flex® (also known as FasTrak Switchable): Similar to the standard transponder, the FasTrak Flex transponder is a hardcase mounted to the interior of the vehicle’s windshield using Velcro strips. It has a battery and may beep when a toll is charged.

If you obtained your FasTrak Flex from AAA, Costco or Albertsons, you must activate it immediately online or by phone by calling (877) 812-0022. Prior to registration, $25 is held as a transponder deposit and the remaining balance of $15 is available as prepaid tolls.

How does the frequent driver discount work? The Toll Roads have introduced a new discount program for prepaid FasTrak accounts. Starting July 1, 2019, drivers with prepaid FasTrak accounts with The Toll Roads who spend $40 in tolls on The Toll Roads (State Routes 73, 133, 241 and 261) during a statement period receive $1 off every toll accumulated on The Toll Roads the following statement period.
