The First-Time Home Buyer Class offered by Step Up Suncoast (formerly Manatee Community Action Agency) is an eight-hour training course which helps prepare potential home buyers with the skills necessary to successfully select, finance, and maintain their first home purchase. This class is a required credential to access county grant programs for down payment and closing cost assistance.

The class fee will normally be $5, $10, or $15. Students must fill out a registration form. ELC must receive all fees and registration forms prior to 48 hours in advance of the class. PayPal, money order, checks and “no change required” cash are accepted to reserve a spot in a class. Cash is only accepted in person at the ELC office.

Manatee Technical College will follow the School District of Manatee County schedule. Classes will resume online on Monday, March 30, 2020. Campus buildings are closed for students and visitors through Wednesday, April 15, 2020. Details regarding future online classes will be coming soon.
