The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board takes the health and safety of students and staff extremely seriously. In accordance with expanded provincial lead testing requirements in 2017, all designated drinking locations in OCDSB elementary schools were tested in 2017 and 2018 and we anticipate that the expanded testing in secondary schools will be completed in 2020.

The OCSDB has started rolling out School Cash Online, an easy to use, safe and convenient way for parents and guardians to pay for their children’s school fees, including yearbooks and class trips. School Cash Online aims to significantly reduce cash handling in schools and increases safety as students will not have to carry cash to school.

Merivale HS welcomes our first class of pre-diploma students in September of 2019 into grade 9. Subsequent grades will be added over a three year period, culminating in the first cohort graduating in June, 2023. Merivale High School joins Colonel By Secondary School as the only other OCDSB school offering this specialized learning experience.Location: 1755 Merivale Rd, Nepean, ON K2G 1E2
