For default user account, the ‘username’ is the FTP login name. But for additional FTP accounts, the FTP login name is of the format ‘[email protected]’. If the FTP username entered is not in this specific format, login failures happen. “530 Login authentication failed” also happens due to wrong password.

530 Login incorrect. Login failed. I have looked at all the current forum sites and can see that this is known problem whereby you can telnet into a system using the correct passwd but the system does not allow you if you try and FTP. One solution was to reset the password for the login which I did but this has not worked for myself!

Mar 30, 2015 · I have not checked that. To be honest, I think I'm pretty good with computers, and can fix or do almost everything, but a firewall is something I have never, ever touched and don't know what to even do, but I'm sure I'll be able to figure it out.
