What is PINES? PINES (Public Information Network for Electronic Services) is Georgia’s “borderless library” system that allows PINES card holders free access to books and other materials in 300 library branches and affiliated service outlets throughout the state.

Georgia Pines offers an array of support and services to those affected by mental illness, addictive diseases and developmental disabilities that will enhance life satisfaction and promote community and family functioning.

GA PINES is an intervention program for children from birth to age 5 diagnosed with a hearing or visual impairment. This program is funded through the Georgia Department of Education and is statewide in order to reach out to all children in Georgia with a hearing or visual impairment.

Georgia Library PINES (Public Information Network for Electronic Services) is the public library automation and lending network for 300 libraries and affiliated service outlets in 54 library systems covering 146 counties in Georgia.
