May 09, 2011 · I leaned into my fireplace and in doing so I inadvertantly broke one of the fake logs that are part of the gas fireplace set in half. Is this a big deal as long as I continue to place the logs the way they are supposed to be positioned according to the instructions and if so how much is it to replace just one of these fake logs?

Sep 29, 2009 · yes there is a big problem with using broken gas logs. The logs are set in a pattern for each individual gas log burner set. If you disrupt this pattern (i.e. broken or different stacking logs) you will have a CO problem with the burn. Before you use this fireplace you need to get a new set of logs that matches the model of that gas log set.
