Disable new signups. When this setting is enabled, any user visiting your GitLab domain will be able to sign up for an account. You can restrict new users from signing up by themselves for an account in your instance by disabling this setting.

The license key is a static file which, upon uploading, allows GitLab Enterprise Edition to run. During license upload we check that the active users on your GitLab Enterprise Edition instance doesn’t exceed the new number of users. During the licensed period you may add as many users as you want.

Jul 03, 2018 · Hi, What if, like me, both options (sign up and sign in) has been disabled by the root account, because only ldap authentification is needed but there is no ldap account that have engouht rights to set these setting back to default ?

GitLab @ UCSC is a git server and web interface for classes at UC Santa Cruz. You must use your UCSC email address (CruzID) to sign up. The process will require responding to an email sent to that address, so please make sure you use your email address. The username you use to register must match your email address, and should be your CruzID (the one listed on class rosters).

While GitLab has a powerful user interface, if you want to use Git itself, you will have to do so from the command line. If you want to start using Git and GitLab together, make sure that you have created and/or signed into an account on GitLab. Open a shell. Depending on your operating system, you will need to use a shell of your preference.
