Sep 06, 2012 · A little differently, but when I logged into my gmail account using a different browser it said that google blocked an attempted log in from an unknown source. then it asked, "was it you?" I answered yes, then it gave me 10 minutes to log in again from the other browser and allowed me to retrieve that gmail account from another gmail account.

This happens because Google detects your login as suspicious. For example, because your server is located in a different country than you. Solution: 1. Open your browser. 2. Login to Google mail using the web interface at www.gmail.com. 3. At the top of the page you will see a message saying: Google prevented suspicious attempt to sign into your account.
