Google conventionally did not allow using accounts associated with different Gmail IDs at the same time. We have already discussed in the past ways to switch quickly between Gmail accounts.Now there is an official way to link different Google accounts so that you can use Gmail, Google Reader, Google Voice, and other services with just a click of the mouse within the same browser.

When you create a Google Account, you automatically get a Gmail address. But if you’d rather use another email address to sign in, you can link a non-Gmail email address to the account and use it to sign in, recover your password, get notifications, and more.

When you sign in to multiple accounts, account settings usually aren't shared between accounts. For example, your accounts might have different language settings or sign-in steps. Sometimes settings might carry over. If you're signed in to multiple accounts at the same time, sometimes we can't tell which account you're using.

On your computer, sign in to the Gmail account you want to import to. In the top right, click Settings Settings. Click the Accounts and import tab. In the "Check mail from other accounts" section, click Add a mail account. Type the email address of the other account, then click Next. Make a selection and click Next. Type your password.
