Google worked with educators across the country to create Classroom: a streamlined, easy-to-use tool that helps teachers manage coursework. With Classroom, educators can create classes, distribute assignments, grade and send feedback, and see everything in one place.

Go to classroom.google.com and click Go to Classroom. Enter your username and click Next. Enter your password and click Next. If there is a welcome message, read it and click Accept. If you're using a G Suite for Education account, click I’m A Student or I’m A Teacher. Note: Users with personal Google Accounts won’t see this option.

I have set up Google Classroom and have a G-Suite account. I was unaware that my students needed a gmail account and thought the code alone would work for them to access classroom.
