Because the button to change the AF is on the corner and likely to be bumped while in use, I attribute it to the battery grip, not the camera. Nonetheless, it's a fantastic grip that I highly recommend.

I wish I had purchased it sooner. This is a fantastic battery grip. I have two children who participate in sports, and I spend my weekends photographing them. I used to have to change batteries every few hours, but now I can use this camera for a week without charging the batteries. I also like that I can now do a portrait/landscape and have all of the same buttons in the same places when the camera is up and down versus side to side, and that it attaches securely to the camera body and feels like an extension of it. Just keep in mind that it will increase the weight of your camera, which is to be expected when adding a second battery and housing unit. I use it in conjunction with a Spider Pro hand strap, and the two work well together. Also, using the included instructions, you can easily remove the camera door. I wish I had purchased this years ago.
