As more individuals and businesses turn to Facebook to share and connect with others, people are looking to take more control over protecting their account from unauthorized access.

There are several two-factor authentication methods you can use with your Facebook account when logging in from an unrecognized computer or mobile device. To get started with two-factor authentication, choose either: Text message (SMS) codes from your mobile phone. Login codes from a third party authentication app.

Once you’ve logged in you can add a new mobile phone number to your account or turn off two-factor authentication from your Security and Login Settings. If you can't try these ways to get back into your account and add a new mobile phone number, you can try recovering it.
