Filezilla Sudo Login

I am using FileZilla to log in to an SFTP host with my credentials. However, I need to use an equivalent of sudo su - user (as used in linux) to change the user. There are no passwords set for this general user, and hence direct login is not allowed.

Currently, I use root user login directly, but password login is disabled. I didn't understand how to use sudo and SFTP at same time. It seems to be a best practice to require login as a non-root user and then require use of sudo since the logs will record who was given escalated privileges for each command.

In Clonezilla live, two accounts are available: (1) account "user" with sudo privilege, password is "live", (2) administration account "root", no password. Therefore you can not login as root, the only way to get root privilege is to login as user, and run "sudo -i" or "sudo su -" to become root.
