Goahead Web Server Default Login

Option Description--auth filename: Define the name of the authentication configuration file. This is by default auth.txt. If GoAhead is built with PAM support (Unix Pluggable Authentication Modules), then passwords will be authenticated from the system password database.

GoAhead Web Server. The default application that comes with the PXS has an onboard web server that is based upon the GoAhead WebServer version 2.1, which is a fully featured, open source web server. If the password has been set on the PXS, the user will be prompted to enter a user name and password to access the web server.

Retries. By default, the GoAhead WebServer retries five times to find an alternative port to use if the default port is not available. This default can be modified in main.c by changing the line retries = 5;. Password. To password-protect server accesses, the default password needs to be entered in main.c.

The use of default passwords in production systems is considered poor practice. At the very least, all surveillance network devices, including cameras, clients, and servers, should be changed from the defaults with strong passwords, documented in a secure location.This prevents access to the network using simple password guessing, requiring a more skilled attacker and more complex methods.
