Dell Laptop Wont Log In

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 series. I turn it in and it powers up, and goes the the screen where you can enter your password to get in. Dell Inspiron 14 3452. My laptop repeatively pops the dell logo for a few seconds but then goes black and then pops the dell logo again. I have tried using the method where you take out the battery and the ac adapter and hold the power button for at least a few seconds but once i reassembled the items, it still acted the way it was from the beginning.
