If you applied for your Elklan course directly on our website, you will not need to complete the registration form as this was part of the application process. Simply log in with your email address and password chosen when applying. Once logged in and registered, please click the relevant course icon which will be shown on the left.

Elklan writes and delivers accredited courses for education and other staff working with those with speech, language and communication needs and for parents, and trains a network of licenced tutors to deliver Elklan courses locally.

About Elklan. Elklan was established in 1999 by two experienced speech and language therapists Liz Elks and Henrietta McLachlan in response to a demand for training to be delivered by speech and language therapists to education staff to enable them to be more effective in their support of children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).

It has been written to be accessible to parents, learning support assistants and teachers and many speech and language therapists use it in their daily work. It is the core reading material for the accredited course Speech and Language Support for 5-11s.

Eligbility: Creating Communication Friendly Settings courses are for practitioners who have successfully completed Speech and Language Support for 3-5s or Speech and Language Support for 0-3s at Level 3 within the past three years.This course is restricted to applicants in Derby from specific wards.
